A RENOVATED CATALAN FARMHOUSE

The house, perfectly located and full of light, has three traditional porches: one with spectacular views, another intimate and a third that illuminates the staircase. These spaces not only add elegance to the ensemble, but also provide passive comfort, making the most of natural light and fresh air.

On the first floor, a complete renovation has been carried out with the construction of Catalan cross vaults, which has created a continuous space between the kitchen, the dining room and the living room. This architectural technique consists of the intersection of two or more barrel vaults that intersect at right angles, creating a robust and aesthetically appealing structure. The final finish of the laps, made with lime plaster, a pre-industrial technique, guarantees optimal lighting comfort, creating a welcoming and luminous atmosphere throughout the day.

To avoid long corridors and increase the degree of privacy on the upper floor, two staircases have been arranged, one at the north end and the other at the south end. This arrangement not only improves the functionality of the house, but also provides a sense of greater privacy and comfort.

The traditional materials used, such as lime, and non-constructive architectural techniques such as Catalan laps, not only respect the Mediterranean style, but also ensure a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment. The porches, with their different orientations and uses, allow you to enjoy the natural environment at any time of the day, making this house a perfect place to live and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the Mediterranean landscape.
