Recently, Alto Standing magazine ran an extensive feature on Bangolo Architects. in its special edition Barcelona, World Capital of Architecture. The publication, which offers a curated look at projects that define new ways of inhabiting, focuses on two works by the studio that, from very different contexts, share the same way of understanding architecture: Mas Fruitós, a farmhouse restoration in a rural setting, and Loft Pennsylvania, a contemporary intervention in the very heart of Barcelona’s urban fabric.
Far from being antagonistic projects, the magazine presents them as two sides of the same architectural discourse, capable of adapting to scale, location and use without losing coherence or judgement.
