BIRD EXIT
April 15, 2023
Yesterday was a very touching day. AUS walks resumed after a long hiatus due to COVID. If three years ago with Nuria Pedrals we were organizing these views, now with the help of Toni Solanas they have become a reality. The group of attendees was made up of architects, surveyors, decorators, builders, a photographer, an anthropologist, social workers and others. The first visit was to the Àgora space of Mas Marroch at 9:30am where, after a short introduction, all the most revealing corners of this peculiar structure were seen. Thank you Shani for your generosity.
Then it isvisited the Can Bolet farmhouse, in Llorà, where the owners, Júlia and John, were eagerly awaiting us. This is an extension following the typology of a traditional shed, a photovoltaic canopy made of solid wood and a barbecue with views of the forest have given an idea of a rehabilitation according to Bangolo’s criteria.
Finally, late in the morning, the day was completed with a visit to the Can Buch hotel, where the project was able to be visited in depth with the maximization of Km0 materials and self-sufficiency. The final point was a fantastic menu from chef Fede, with the relevant table service afterwards.
Thank you again Gerard for your availability and sustainability ambition. We are looking forward to the next AUS departure which will be next July.
